Q1. How do I get the bigger discounts?
A. To receive the higher discounts, you will need to order in excess of 4 blinds - and the Remote Control Siesta blinds receive even higher discounts. As you add more blinds to the shopping cart, the website will inform you how many more you will need to order before even more discount.
Please note Accessories do not count towards, or receive the larger discounts.
Q2. How long does delivery take?
A. Delivery of all the products takes 7-10 working days for the UK.
All of the Velux products come directly from Velux located in Denmark, over to here which is why they allow up to this timescale as all products need to go through shippings and custom, and also any adverse weather conditons have to be taken into account.
Any companies quoting quicker lead times are falsely claiming this, unless of course they are stockists themselves.
Q3. How much do you charge for delivery?
A. For any UK address delivery is free and delivered via Initial City Link.
Q4. Do Velux blinds and accessories come with any guarantee?
A. All the Velux blinds and accessories come with a full 3 year guarantee.
Q5. What if I need to return my blind or accessory?
A. For any products to be returned, they must be unused, unfitted and returned in the original packaging (however you can open the box initally to check it over).
For customers within the UK, in the unlikely event that you received an incorrect product, a free returns label will be sent out to you upon notifying us, and the replacement goods will ordered at the same time ready for delivery within 7-10 working days.
If you accidently ordered the wrong colour or product, then all the above will be the same, however we will order your replacement product upon us receiving the original one back. Also any differences in prices will be either charged for or refunded before any replacements are ordered.
Q6. My windows are high up, what are my options?
A. To operate high windows that you cannot reach, which you require to be opened and closed will need a Telescopic Rod Control (ZCT 200), which ranges from 1.0-1.8m , this will allow you to open and close the window itself - please ensure your window is a GGL/GGU type first. For even higher windows the extension rod allows you to reach 1.0m higher.
Your options for blinds are to either purchase a Remote Control Siesta Blackout blind, which obviously you can operate via the remote.
Or if you want to operate the blind and have normal blind, you can purchase 1 Rod Adaptor for each blind, which clips onto the blind, and using the Telescopic Rod Control (ZCT 200) you can open and close the blind.
Q7. Can I operate serveral Remote Siesta blinds off 1 remote?
A. Yes. However each Remote Control blind you order will automatically come with 1 remote control included. As all the remotes operate off 1 frequency then you can control any Remote Control blind with any of the remote controls which were included. Although, due to the narrow wave length from the remote, it is very unlikely you will be able to operate 2 blinds with 1 click of the remote.
Q8. What happened to the DGL remote control siesta blind?
A. In an effort to continue improving their products, and keeping up with staying as green as possible, Velux have now changed the battery powered DGL remote control blind to a brand new solar powered DSL remote control blind.
This operates exactly the same as before, however it has a solar panel in the back of the blind to stay charged at all times - so never any need to replace the batteries in the blind anymore! When you receive the blind it is fully charged, so last around 600 operations and will continue to recharge automatically with any natural light. Even on an overcast day there is enough power to recharge it for another 3-4 operations.

Q9. What is the Pleated Combination all about?
A. The Pleated Combination (FPL) is a seperate blind you must attach to a Blackout Roller blind (DKL). This blind will fit below the blackout blind, and allow you to create a multitude of different room lighting effects - gaining the benefits of both worlds if you require Blackout for heavy sunlight, and a soft translucent material to soften the light in the daytime.
Please note you cannot combine a Flying Pleated (FHL) blind with a Pleated Combination (FPL) blind like you used to be able to with the non-flying pleated blind.

Q10. My windows are White Polyurethane, do you have blinds with the same finish?
A. Yes. If you have a white line window, providing you enter your code correctly (which should start with either GGU/GPU), when the products and colours load up, after you choose any colour it will automatically select the White Line option for you. If you do not wish to have the White Line option, then you can select not to have it if you wish.
Please note the Remote Controlled Siesta blinds and Awning blinds do not come in this finish.
Q11. Can you supply me samples of the blinds?
A. Yes. If you fill out our samples form here
with your name, address, and the type of blind with up to 3 colours of the samples you require. They usually take a few days to arrive for you.
